Specification:Gerkotekt K is an elastic, flexible and high resilient insulating material, made of a felt from plant-based fibers like jute and coir, which is drenched with bitumen.

Structure-borne sound insulation between solid components and joints, impact sound and heat insulation at floating screed and under flaggings, sound decoupling of wood and solid components
Tiling and boards can be laid in the mortar bed with no levelling layer directly on Gerkotekt K.
Characteristic
Gerkotekt B absorbs compressive and tensile strength between the underground and coating. Blistering occur with pressure (gases, air, water vapor) is largely prevented by the porous structure.
Resistance
Gerkotekt K is resistant against normal building moisture, fungal attacks and weathering. At continuous humidity from below before the laying of Gerkotekt B must applied the usual moisture barriers eg bituminous primers, hot glued insulating board.

Dry at temperatures between 18 - 35 °C
Max. storage time: 12 months
